I am currently sitting in the airport in Amman, Jordan waiting for our 11 pm flight to Kuwait, which should take about two hours. Yesterday we left Jonesboro at 10 am for Memphis. I was the last member of our crew to be picked up. From Memphis we flew to Chicago.
I had never visited Chicago before, and we went to the downtown area and ate at Gino's East, which is apparently a well-known pizza place. By going from O'Hare to downtown and back we managed to catch a good glimpse of the essence of the Windy City.
In Chicago we boarded Royal Jordanian airlines for a twelve hour flight. After watching The Internship and After Earth I tried to sleep for a few hours, before watching the cartoon Epic. I could go into further details about all of those movies, but will spare you the details. The basic premises of The Internship and After Earth were very ridiculous and gave me something to think about on the long flight.
We arrived in Amman, Jordan at about 4:15 their time, which was actually Saturday morning in Arkansas. Time travel is always interesting. I've already scouted out the football schedule for the next few weeks and it looks like I'll be able to catch the late games on Sunday afternoon as they don't even start until after 11 pm on Kuwait time.
I'll check in again after tomorrow's events. We will be visiting Gulf University of Science and Technology as well as the famous Kuwait Towers tomorrow.
